Lyon & Healy Troubadour Harp

This is a vintage Lyon & Healy Troubadour Harp. This particular example, serial number 2631-C, is in very nice cosmetic condition and includes the appropriate tuning key.

The world’s best-selling lever harp, the Lyon & Healy Troubadour is the perfect instrument for both beginning and experienced harpists. With 5 complete octaves and 33 strings (1st octave C to 5th octave F) the Troubadour has the same string spacing and tension as Lyon & Healy pedal harps. The Troubadour’s Sitka Spruce soundboard gives it a clear, full sound.

This particular example is in very nice cosmetic condition and perfect working condition. The levers all work well. There are a total of 5 missing strings. The only real wear is a small chip in the wood on the player’s left side toward the bottom but otherwise there are no cracks or issues and the harp is structurally sound. The harp measures 64″ tall, by 27″ deep and 18″ wide at the base.

For more than 100 years, Lyon & Healy artisans have maintained Healy’s commitment to a practice of old-world craftsmanship while embracing new-world innovations. Each of the thousands of parts that go into making the instrument—from the wood in the base, soundboard, column and neck to the brass and steel parts in the pedal rods, action plates, spindles and discs—affects the harp in an aesthetic, musical and an engineering sense. To meet its own strict standards, Lyon & Healy either creates or customizes each of these parts itself. As a result, it maintains greater control and consistency in appearance, sound and craftsmanship in every harp it makes.
