This is a used 2010 Gibson Les Paul Traditional (LPTD+) electric guitar. This particular example, serial number 129401519, was made in 2010 and includes both the original paperwork and hard case. This version Les Paul Traditional lists for over $3,000.00, and generally sells new for approximately $2,400.00. However, this example has been tastefully upgraded at some serious expense to make it as much like an R9 as possible (which is somewhat common), including; aged nickel cover PAF ’57 classic humbuckers ($354/set), a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-o-matic ($115), a Historic lightweight wrap around tailpiece ($195), an aged switch tip ($10), upgraded CTS pots with upgraded capacitors ($75), pointer washers ($10), and no-logo truss rod cover ($25). After installation, the Historic makeover exceeded $850 and as is illustrated, the process was well worth it.
This guitar has been lovingly enjoyed very sparingly. It appears to be in like new condition, and the wear on the hardware is a result of Gibson’s intentional aging process or relicing.
