This is a used 2001 Gibson Les Paul Studio Plus electric guitar. This particular example, serial number 01611510, is in very excellent, near mint, 100% all original condition and includes the original brown Gibson hard shell case. This attractive Cherry Red Les Paul Studio Plus features an extremely exotic AAA Premium Plus flame maple top that would rival the likes of some of Gibson’s finest Custom Shop creations. This very early production Les Paul Studio Plus was made with the same high-quality materials as those used to make the now collectible high-end R9s.

Pickup Cavity: DB, LPO+

This Les Paul Studio Plus features: a beautifully carved flame maple top, the original Cherry Red finish, a one piece mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, (1) 490R and (1) 498R humbucking pickups, Gibson Deluxe stamped tuning machines, Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece, all gold hardware, and the original hard shell case.
This is a great Les Paul Studio, and while some overlook the quality and performance of the L.P. Studio model, it is obvious when playing this guitar that it is surprisingly better than most Les Paul Standards we have sold. The action and playability is fantastic, the density and sustain is serious, and the aesthetic is impressive. Both pickups sound great, and the bridge humbucker is super loud and efficient.
There are a couple of pressure dings around the edge of the top, in addition to, some very superficial playing wear on the back of the body. Otherwise, the guitar i in extremely excellent original condition.
Remember, that this is not a chambered-body example, and while it almost weighs 10 pounds, it is a solid, great-sounding Les Paul. Additionally, it is clear that Gibson will no longer produce guitars like this: lacking the same production techniques, and not having access to the same traditional materials.
