This is a used 1998 Guild Starfire II Model SF2-TPR semi-hollowbody electric guitar. This particular example, serial number AG300937, is in near mint NOS condition and includes the original hard shell case! This beautiful mahogany finish example was in a Southern California guitar store, where it remained unsold until early this year! This pre-Fender (pre-Corona is more appropriate) example was made in the Westerly, Rhode Island factory, the same place where Guilds were made since 1966. Though the originals are really fantastic guitars, the 1990’s Starfire reissues are surprisingly high-quality and are very excellent all-around. This era Guild guitars are quickly becoming more valuable, so do yourself a favor and buy one now, before they become too expensive!
Features of this Starfire reissue include; the original dark cherry finish, bound mahogany top back and sides, 1 piece mahogany neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, black plastic headstock with pearloid logo and Chesterfield inlay, rosewood adjustable bridge, Guild harp tailpiece and original hard case.
This example is in near mint 100% all original condition and displays virtually no playing wear. There is no visible fret wear, and the finish is perfectly intact. The guitar features a very excellent original setup with low comfortable action.
It weighs 6 lbs. and 12 oz. and includes the original case which is also in very excellent, near mint, condition.
