1994 Gibson Les Paul Standard

This is a used 1994 Gibson Les Paul Standard with a particularly attractive 3-piece bird’s-eye maple top. Made in limited quantities between 1992-1995, this special variety Les Paul has since become both desirable and scarce. This stunning example, serial number 94017276, is in pristine MINT condition and comes with the original case.

Made in Gibson’s centennial year, this bird’s-eye Standard features a remarkable yellow-to-brown honey sunburst finish, as pre-designated by the hand-written “HB” in the neck pickup cavity. The bird’s-eye top Les Pauls also came in cherry sunburst and natural, with the subtle Iced-Tea style “Honey Burst” being both the most attractive, and the best for showcasing the distinctive 3-piece bird’s-eye maple top.

Aside from looking amazing, this guitar feels and sounds incredible as well. The guitar weighs 9 lbs. and 1 oz., which is on the light-medium side. The neck features an extremely comfortable ’60-style slim-taper neck with medium-sized frets. The neck is perfectly straight, and the action is fantastic all the way up to the 22nd fret. The original Gibson 490R and 498T humbucking pickups sound great. All of the original chrome hardware is in pristine shape.

While there is virtually no playing wear on the entire guitar (with the exception of one really small ding), there is some minimal fret wear on the first 4 frets. Otherwise, the guitar is beyond excellent condition, and most would consider it to be in mint, like new, cosmetic condition.

As mentioned above, the guitar comes with the original brown Gibson case. Although the 3-digit lock has been set, the case opens and closes fine.
