This is a used 1991 Gibson SG Junior electric guitar. This particular example, serial number 92891454, is in very excellent all original condition! This 1st-year production model is actually quite rare, and particularly practical. It features an original tun-o-matic bridge and factory Grover mini-machines, both of which installed in response to classic intonation and tuning issues with original SG Juniors. It might not be vintage yet, but this SG Jr. will be collectible in no time, so don’t miss out on this amazing bargain, as very few of these have ever surfaced online.
This SG Junior features: a vintage spec. contoured mahogany body construction, the original Cherry red finish, a one-piece mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, (1) P-90 single coil pickup, Tune-O-Matic bridge, stop tailpiece, Grover mini-Rotomatic tuning machines, and corresponding vintage reissue nickel hardware.
Not only will this 20-year-old reissue fool the most studied of vintage enthusiasts, but it is also a truly fantastic instrument. The action is extremely low, and the neck is perfectly straight. The neck profile features a soft and shallow shape very similar to a ’60 profile, and the P-90 sounds great in this guitar.
The guitar weighs 6 lbs. 7 oz., and feels very comfortable to play. It does not come with a case, but will be packed accordingly.
