This is a vintage 1985 Valley Arts Custom Pro electric guitar. This particular example, serial number VA0101, is in very excellent condition and was custom made for client Kevin B. Clark, which can be seen stamped on the neck plate. This very early, low serial number, Valley Arts custom guitar was made long before Samick or Gibson had anything to do with the brand. The guitar sounds and looks incredible, and is clearly made from the absolute top-of-the-line components with the highest quality materials.
Features of this Custom Pro include:
– Quilted maple body
– Original honeyburst finish
– Birdseye maple neck
– Rosewood fingerboard
– Seymour Duncan ’59 Humbuckers
– Kahler 2200 tremolo bridge system
– Original brass whammy bar
– Schaller tuning machines
– Gold/Brass hardware
– Weight: 8 lbs. 13 oz.
– non-original hard case
The honeyburst finish on this guitar is near flawless. There is absolutely no arm wear, neck wear, pick wear, or belt buckle wear. The neck feels and plays nice with perfect action. The pickups are wired for on, off, or single coil with factory coil taps installed. The middle pickup is wired for on, off, or out of phase. The original brass hardware is quite excellent, and the guitar is simply awesome.
For those who are familiar with this era Valley Arts instrument, you are aware of how high-quality these guitars are: but for those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of holding one of these magnificent creations in your hand, inspect the photos closely, and be careful not to drool on your computer keyboard!
Probably the ultimate Strat-style guitar, this beast is more versatile than anything made since. Covering thick, rich and raunchy to precise, clean, and intricate, this is all a real guitar player needs to achieve any serious tone.
