1985 Mesa Boogie Mark III

Here’s a vintage 1985 Mesa/Boogie Mark III electric guitar amplifier. This particular “Black Stripe” version, serial number 13381, is in nice original condition.

Serial Number: 13381
Transformer Codes: 606 434, 606-435, 606–424

This ’85 Mesa/Boogie Mark III utilizes: (4) 5881, and (5) ECC83/12AX7 non-original tubes through the original 1 x 12″ Electro-Voice Black Shadow speaker.

The Mark III series was a true revolution in amplifiers and a testament to Mesa’s “Spirit of Art in Technology” motto. Features included a five-band Graphic Equalizer, refined double 3-spring Hammond Reverb unit, beautiful hardwood cabinets, 60w or 100w of output, Mesa patented Simul-Class power for tube variations, and a cooling fan. This example works perfectly aside from the “Middle” knob, which turns smoothly, though will not Pull Out for Rhythm 2. The original feet are missing, and at some point casters were added, resulting in non-original holes in the bottom of the cabinet.
