Here is a vintage 1980 Hamer Sunburst USA-made electric guitar! This particular example, serial number 0 1529, is in 100% all original condition and correspondingly beautiful cosmetic shape. This rare Hamer model was born from the early highly-crafted legacy that established Hamer as a serious boutique guitar brand. Brilliantly resembling the body shape profile of a double-cut Les Paul Junior while borrowing the gorgeous maple top of a ‘Burst and DiMarzio-made P.A.F. style pickups, this derivative hybrid is one of the late-’70s best creations, and has since developed enough popularity to justify an entire series of reproductions.
This ’80 Hamer Sunburst USA is in excellent all original shape and features; a mahogany body, a flat 1-piece maple top with an attractive figuring, a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, (1) half-white Zebra DiMarzio humbucking pickup, (1) all-white DiMarzio hubucking pickup, (3) gold top hat knobs, original chrome Grover tuning machines, and original earlier variety chrome bridge with rounded open saddles.
With original pots dated 1979, this guitar was produced sometime in early 1980. It weighs 8 lbs. 7 oz., and is a really great instrument all around. The neck profile is very comfortable, and the action is low. The guitar sounds great, and DiMarzios from this era are quite impressive. This guitar is in perfectly intact 100% original condition with no breaks, no cracks, and no repairs whatsoever.
