This guitar remains in extremely fine mint condition. There is not a single cosmetic flaw observed anywhere on the instrument. It includes the factory setup, though the strings have since been changed. The guitar works perfectly, and functions exactly as it did the day it was completed. The neck is straight, the truss rod works perfectly, all pickups measure according to spec., and nothing has been changed, modified, replaced, nor even adjusted!
This guitar plays great and sounds fantastic. It is actually more than a pound lighter than the last ’79 Strat sold on eBay, and feels surprisingly light weight for a Fender from this era. The natural finish over Ash with a maple neck and black parts is very attractive aesthetic, and this example looks incredible. Aside from some minimal and inevtiable finish fading, which has caused the finish to lightly patina in a very attractive manner, there is nothing more to mention.
