1978 Wurlitzer 200A

This is a vintage 1978 Wurlitzer 200A electronic piano. With a signature sound all their own, Wurlys have been featured on some of the most successful pop recordings in modern history, including: “These Eyes” by the Guess Who, “Miss You” by the Rolling Stones and Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend”. This particular example, serial number 128795L, is in very excellent 100% all original condition and includes: the original chrome legs, functional sustain pedal, and the original music sheet stand! Those who favor well-preserved pieces will absolutely adore this stunning specimen. A must have instrument for any serious studio, this Wurlitzer 200A will become common place on your recordings, or for those enthusiasts who purely enjoy creating and playing music, you will not find a more enjoyable, more inspirational, musical instrument. While not in mint condition, this keyboard is pretty darn close. Generally, Wurlitzer keyboards display wear in an unattractive way, and their age is quite obvious, however, this is a very excellent example worthy of display in any studio or senstivie recording environment.

As can be seen in the series of very high resolution photos to the right of this text column, the cosmetic condition of this keyboard is near mint. The chrome legs are very clean with a very light layer of patina, the rubber pad on the sustain pedal is near perfect, and there is virtually no superficial scratching on the exterior, as is usually the case. The keys are in unfaded excellent shape, and the overall condition of this keyboard is very excellent and highly presentable.

It works perfectly, remains in tune from the factory, and sounds fantastic. The original oval speakers are in perfect condition, and produce clear robust sound. It was given a superficial inspection by Bill Axman of AllTec Organ services, and is ready for the studio.
