Here’s a vintage 1975 Fender Telecaster electric guitar. This particular custom color example, serial number 646948, is in nice condition and includes a non-original hard shell case. Perfect for players and collectors alike, this is a really great vintage Tele in a great color!
Serial Number: 646948 (F plate)
Neck Date: 1303 4245 (Friday, 42nd week, 1974)
Weight: 8 lbs 14 oz
This â75 Fender Telecaster features: an Ash body with an Olympic White polyurethane finish, a 1-piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, “F” style Schaller tuning machines, a 1974 neck datel, mid ’70s CTS pots, (2) single coil pickups, a 4-bolt neck construction, and a non-original tweed hard case.
Aside from a single replaced pickup lead, added solder on the pots, and (2) replaced string ferrules, this Tele is in 100% original condition. Weighing just under 9 pounds, the Tele is heavier than your average example, which is also the norm when it comes to 1970s Fender instruments. The original white finish has faded to a nice creamy patina, and looks amazing. The only visible flaw in the finish is some wear and paint loss on the back of the body.
The guitar plays and sounds great, and the neck actually feels really fantastic. The frets have plenty of life left, and the intonation is accurate.
