This is a vintage 1972 Galanti 2V electric guitar. This incredible Italian-made (Eko) solid body features Pat. Pend. Grover tuning machines, a duo of DeArmond DynaSonic pickups, an awesome asymmetrical body design and the original hard case. Just like the best Eko instruments, this rather rare deluxe model features expensive American-made hardware and a more sophisticated construction. This is a very well-preserved example in 100% all original condition, so don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to buy this incredibly sexy Italian vintage guitar!
As mentioned, this Galanti 2V features DeArmond Dynaonic pickups, Grover tuners, a Maple body and neck, a Rosewood fingerboard with large dot inlays, an abstract 6-on-a-side headstock shape, an involved hand-fabricated tremolo system including a tension control and over-sized vibrato arm, a single-ply pickguard and silver sparkle insert control knobs.
The DeArmond pickups really make this guitar a vibrant and dynamic instrument It sounds fantastic, and the Grover machines keep it perfectly in tune. The bridge setup is crude and bulky, but it works, and can actually be adjusted quite nicely. Though the body appears petite, the guitar weighs 8 lbs. and 14 oz., which is a testament to the over-built approach of the guitar.
Do not confuse this highly functional guitar with he sparkly plastic novelties made prior. Clearly the upgraded hardware was installed as an attempt to compete with concurrently made American guitars, and in some ways, this Galanti 2V is cooler.
