This is a vintage 1972 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar. This particular example, serial number 354762, is in absolutely impeccable 100% all original condition with the original tremolo arm and original hard case. This very early 3-bolt, double string tree, version features; a late-’60s style 3-tone Sunburst polyurethane finish, a maple neck with large profile headstock/bullet trussrod and Rosewood fingerboard, staggered pole-piece gray bobbin pickups, counter-sunk screw hole pickguard, original 3-way pickup selector switch, small-post Schaller-made “F” tuning machines, 1-piece diecast chrome bridge with non-Pat. stamped bridge saddles, and all original electronics and hardware.
As mentioned, this ’72 Strat is in absolutely impeccable condition. There are just a few very small superficial pressure marks on the guitar from storage wear (most likely), otherwise there is no evidence of consistent playing wear. The guitar is incredibly crisp and presents as if it’s in mint showroom condition. This is most certainly a 9.5/10, and is worthy of the most discerning collectors. All parts, all electronics, all hardware are 100% original to this instrument and unmodified. The forensics suggest this guitar had never been disassembled before, so all screws were installed in the same holes from which they were removed.
