1972 Fender Precision Bass Neck

This is a vintage 1972 Fender Precision Bass neck. This rare ALL original ‘72 P Bass neck is both maple and fretless. Factory fretless P Basses were typically produced from the mid-late 1970’s, so finding one made in 1972 is fairly rare, as earlier versions were produced in limited quantities. Perfect for restoring your valuable vintage P, or converting your fretted P with an era appropriate neck, it will be very difficult to find another all original fretless P Bass neck from 1972.

The original neck includes: the original finish, the original decal, the original string tree, the original tuning machine ferrules, the original nut, and the original date stamp, which is “5MAR72B.” The neck is in exceptional condition, and does not exhibit playing wear. Aside from expected and very minimal finish fading (only visible when compared to finish under parts,) there is nothing that would keep this from looking appropriate on a matching body in mint condition.

The neck is perfectly straight with no modifications, no breaks, nor repairs. The original nut is intact and unbroken. It weighs 1 pound and 10 ounces. The neck features an extremely comfortable deep C-shape profile.
