Here’s a vintage 1977 Roland Jazz Chorus model JC-120 electric guitar amplifier. This particular example, serial number 581464, is in very excellent all original condition and sounds absolutely incredible! The Jazz Chorus series became increasingly popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s new wave and post-punk scenes because of its clean yet powerful sound, durability and relatively low cost.
Features include: 2 channels, separate EQ for both, Distortion, Reverb, Vibrato, and Chorus effects. The original 2 x 12″ Roland Musical Speakers sound incredible and do not exhibit fatigue or voice-coil distortion. Players include: Andy Summers, Robert Smith, The Edge, Joe Perry, Jeff Buckley, and Robert Fripp. Perfect for both guitar and keyboards, it would be very difficult to find a better amp for clean live application for a better price.
This example was thoroughly tested, and was determined to work perfectly. The speakers are efficient and void of fatigue. All of the controls and subsequent effects work perfectly and sound great.
There is some slight evidence of wear on the vinyl exterior, thought there is not much wear on the grillecloth. The fibreboard material corner edges also display general wear, but the overall presentation of this example is very excellent.
