This is a vintage 1967 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard electric semi-hollow body guitar. This particular example, serial number 093353, is in impeccably mint 100% all original condition and includes the original hard case. Essentially, the Trini Lopez Standard is a more deluxe/more stylized version of the ES-335, and includes; a non-reverse six-on-a-side Firebird headstock profile, split-diamond inlays, bound diamond-shaped soundholes, and a customized tailpiece placard.
This guitar is in perfect structural shape, with no cracks, no breaks, no modifications, no extra holes, no repairs and no issues whatsoever. The original cherry red finish is in very excellent all original condition, aside from the usual, albeit very little, weather-checking. The finish is still extremely vibrant, and exhibits absolutely no fading whatsoever. All of the electronics are original, including the original Pat. No. sticker humbucking pickups and corresponding original pots and wiring. The original frets are in very fine all original condition as well, with minimal visible fret wear confined to the first 5 frets only.
As mentioned, this ’67 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard is in 100% original condition, including; double-line Kluson Deluxe tuning machines, original nut, original truss rod cover, original frets, original pickups, original pickguard, original tune-o-matic bridge, original trapeze tailpiece with the original Trini Lopez plastic placard on the rosewood shield, original switch tip, original pots, original strap pins, and all other original miscellaneous chrome hardware.
It has been recently setup, during which the truss rod was checked and the instrument was intonated. The neck is a deep slim taper profile with a 1 9/16″ nut width. The result is a very playable, extremely comfortable neck shape. It feels much larger than it’s concurrent counterparts, and the action is not plagued by the slim nut. These pickups sound particularly good, and the guitar is a joy to play.
