This is a vintage 1967 Fender Vibrolux Reverb -Amp electric guitar amplifier. This particular example, serial A06673, is in very nice condition and includes the original footswitch! Though this amp displays mild wear, the overall mojo is quite subtle, and it presents rather nicely. Moreover, aside from the inevitable replacement of the electrolytic capacitors and a pair of 6L6GCs from 1975, the amp is entirely original and intact. The Vibrolux Reverb is considered one of Fender’s best Blackface combo amps, and many guitarists consider it to be the finest. Perfect for players with discerning taste and the smarts to invest their money in an amp that’s bound to increase in value, we consider the Vibrolux Reverb a must have, so take advantage of this offer and add this beautiful specimen to your arsenal!

The original tolex displays several scuffs and a couple nicks that scratch through to the light vinyl backing. The original grill cloth is faded and slightly discolored, but is otherwise intact, and is void of rips, punctures, and significant visible snags. The Blackface control panel is worn and displays slight paint loss near the top right-hand corner above the pilot lamp. All of the hardware is original and slightly oxidized as expected. For whatever reason, this amp looks much better in person than in photos: the grill cloth appears much less discolored to the eye, and the general presentation of the cabinet and the tolex is nicer as well.
The benefit from buying an amp that has been lovingly used such as this one, is that it exhibits much less of a harsh edge with respect to its tone, and happens to be one of the coolest sounding Vibrolux Reverbs when achieving gain. It is smoother and sweeter than most I’ve heard, with highly harmonic overdrive and sexy singing sustain. The Reverb is hauntingly great, and echoes with more character than just about any other Fender amp we’ve owned. This is definitely one of the best sounding Fender amps we’ve had in a long time, and we might just end up keeping it, it’s that good.
The Fender Vibrolux Reverb utilizes: (1) GZ34, (2) 6L6, (2) 12AT7, (3) 7025, and (1) 12AX7 tubes through the original 2 x 10″ Oxford Blue Label Special Design speakers.
Other than the inevitably replaced electrolytic capacitors (the originals are not included), and the power tubes upgraded in 1975, this example is all original.
