This is a vintage 1966 Rickenbacker 330 semi-hollowbody electric guitar with the original silver case! This 100% all original example, serial number FI 3217, features; a FireGlo cherry sunburst finish, “Toaster Top” single-coil pickups, “R” trapeze-style tailpiece, double-line Kluson Deluxe tuning machines, and all original hardware (even the bridge cover). While this particular example is in perfect structural condition with no breaks, no cracks, and no repairs, it does display very small pin-holes around the pickups on the top. Since they are too small, and un-threaded in appearance, there’s no way to know their purpose. Otherwise, this guitar is perfectly intact and quite clean. This guitar even has vintage flatwound strings still installed. The case is in excellent condition with the stencil “Jimmy Poe” upon one side. All electronics and pots dating to ’66 are original and untouched. The guitar is missing one pickguard screw and the small silver insert on smallest control knob, which is quite common.
With incredibly low action, and a quintessential Ric sound, this is the perfect example for a player. The neck is straight, and the guitar really offers remarkable performance.
