This particular example, serial number 400101, is in extremely excellent 100% all original condition and includes the original black pebble Lifton hard shell case! Featuring a gorgeous Cherry Sunburst finish and a transitional combination of chrome parts with earlier-style gold insert top hat knobs, this ’66 ES-330 is incredibly attractive, as well as, incredibly functional. With no structural issues, including; no breaks, no cracks, no repairs, etc. this guitar has perfect player potential while remaining an undeniably solid investment.
This ’65 Gibson ES-330TD features: a nitrocellulose lacquer Cherry Sunburst finish,a laminated maple body construction with a 1-piece mahogany neck, a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with block pearloid inlays, a 1 9/16″ nut width, a thick slim-taper neck profile, a pair of dog-ear P-90 pickups with chrome covers, a chrome trapeze tailpiece, a chrome ABR-1 with nylon saddles, gold top hat knobs with chrome inserts, individual Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with plastic buttons and chrome ferrules, an early variety large pebble black Lifton case with yellow interior (worth approximately $500 alone.)
The overall condition of this instrument is a very strong 9.5/10. It does not so much display superficial playing wear as it does years of storage in it’s original case. The finish is highly preserved, unfaded, and extremely intact with exorbitant luster. It weighs an incredibly light 5 lbs. 15 oz., and plays incredibly easily having been setup with .009 gauge strings.
