Here is a vintage 1965 Gibson GA17-RVT Scout Crestline-series electric guitar amplifier. This particular example, serial number 734348, is very good all original condition and includes the original footswitch. This rare compact model features rather unique power tubes, and approximately 18 watts of output. Though the 6AQ5 power tube bears a physical resemblance to an EL84/6BQ5/6973, it is actually more similar in functionality to a 6V6. Simple and straight-forward, this no nonsense amp is perfect for the studio, as a mic would respond very well to its punchy saturated presence.
Serial Number: 734348
Transformer Codes: 9966446, 549-6512, 9966518

The ’65 Gibson Scout Amp features an original set of RCA tubes, including: (1) 6CA4, (2) 6AQ5, (2) 6EU7, and (1) 12AX7, and through an original 1 x 10″ CTS speaker.
The original smooth medium gray tolex is in excellent condition with no snags or tears and only a few scuffs. The original tan grill cloth is in nice structural shape but does exhibit (4) small horizontal snags near the bottom. All of the hardware is original and in very nice shape. The original chrome panel exhibits even oxidation though shows minimal signs of use. Other than a few replaced caps and electrolytics, this example is all original and has all the original transformers, all of the original tubes, and even the original power cable. The original 10â³ CTS speaker is in excellent shape and sounds amazing. The cone is original, and it does not exhibit speaker fatigue nor transmit voicecoil distortion. This amp works perfectly and sounds fantastic. Super musical clean and rounded tone.
