This guitar is in quite remarkable all original condition. The only (barely) visible sign of use is a light patch of playing wear on the treble side of the back of the neck and only in the 1st position. Otherwise, the entire instrument is crisp and unfaded exhibiting incredible brilliance. The nitrocellulose sunburst finish is defined and completely unfaded. The clear nitro finish on the neck is also unfaded and void of any weather-checking. In fact, astoundingly, there is no weather-checking anywhere on the instrument. The original thick tortoise guard is in pristine structural shape with no cracks or warping. All of the original hardware is in very excellent condition with no oxidation.
The guitar is very enjoyable to play, and it features a thick beautiful rosewood fingerboard, original frets, a comfortable medium-sized shallow soft-C neck profile, a perfectly straight maple neck and perfect low action. The original frets display absolutely zero playing wear. It was recently professionally setup with Pyramid .009 gauge strings and it feels amazing. The guitar weighs 8 lbs. and 1. oz. All of the switches work perfectly and function smoothly without scratchiness. It’s surprising that this guitar does not display more playing wear, scratches and abuse, as it is one of the good ones, it really is.
The Jaguar was Fender’s top-of -the-line guitar. It features a very advanced electronic arrangement which was intended to make it the most dynamic guitar offered.
The original Fender “no-logo” case is in very excellent condition as well. All the latches and hinges work perfectly, however, the leather cover on the handle detioritated revealing the metal frame underneath. As mentioned, the guitar comes with it’s original Fender leather strap, which is also in excellent condition.
