This is a vintage 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb-Amp AB763 guitar amplifier. This extremely clean original example, serial number A07809, includes both the original Victoria vinyl protective cover and the original VIB/REV 2-function footswitch. This amazingly well-preserved example was recently serviced and works perfectly. Without a doubt one of the best all-purpose amplifiers ever made, this Deluxe Reverb produces the most beautiful and quintessential Fender clean tone augmented by the incredibly musical reverb and vibrato effects.

As the 70 photos illustrate, this example is in 100% original cosmetic condition. The original black vinyl tolex is crisp with no scrapes, tears, burns, alterations or repairs. The original grill cloth has evenly faded from a bright silver to an attractive tan. The grill cloth is structurally perfect with no punctures, tears, splits or fraying. The original black control panel is super clean with perfectly intact screened numbers and font. The chassis is nice with typical evidence of oxidation. All of the hardware, knobs, screws are original and are in correspondingly excellent condition.
This amp sounds as good as it looks. The amp was just serviced earlier this month, since which it has experienced less than 10 minutes of playing time. It has new tubes (both power and preamp) and new electrolytic capacitors. This completely serviced amp is highly efficient, loud and amazing. The Reverb and Vibrato are both in excellent working shape, and sound great. The Reverb is thick and musical, while the Vibrato is strong with versatility ranging from a subtle and mellow soft stream to an intense square wave oscillation.
For enthusiasts and amp aficionados, one interesting detail is the “Fender Deluxe Reverb” vinyl patch sewn onto the cover. This is usually screened directly on, however, this is the first time I have seen such. The original footswitch is very clean and work perfectly.
The Fender Deluxe Reverb utilizes (1) GZ34, (2) 6V6, (2) 12AT7, (3) 7025, and (1) 12AX7 tubes through an original 1 x 12″ Oxford speaker.
If you have to have one vintage amp, 9 out of 10 guitar players would suggest a blackface Deluxe Reverb. Both versatile and accessible, a good Deluxe Reverb is the best amp to own.
