This is a vintage 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb-Amp AB763 guitar amplifier. This particular example, serial number A10725, is in very nice cosmetic condition and includes the original “VIB/REV” footswitch. This well-preserved fine example was recently serviced and works perfectly. Without a doubt one of the best all-purpose amplifiers ever made, this Deluxe Reverb produces the most beautiful and quintessential Fender clean tone augmented by the incredibly musical reverb and vibrato effects.

The original black vinyl tolex is crisp with only some superficial wear. The original grill cloth has evenly faded from a bright silver to an attractive smoked tan. The grill cloth is structurally fine with no rips or tears, and only exhibits one very minor snag. The original black control panel is very nice exhibiting typical blemishes. The chassis is nice with no evidence of oxidation. All of the hardware, knobs, screws are original and are in correspondingly excellent condition.
This amp sounds as good as it looks, and as mentioned, was recently fully serviced. This studio-ready amp is highly efficient, loud, and highly dymanic. The Reverb and Vibrato are both in excellent working shape, and sound great. The Reverb is thick and musical, while the Vibrato is strong with versatility ranging from a subtle and mellow soft stream to an intense square wave oscillation.
The recent service included the replacement of the electrolytic capacitors, and an upgraded 3 -prong grounded power cable. ALL of the other components are original, including; the Oxford 12K5-6 12″ speaker, all transformers, all potentiometers and switches, etc.
The Fender Deluxe Reverb utilizes; (1) GZ34, (2) 6L6, (2) 12AT7, (3) 7025, and (1) 12AX7 tubes through an original 1 x 12″ Oxford speaker.
If you were forced to own one vintage amp, 9 out of 10 guitar players would choose a vintage blackface Deluxe Reverb. Both versatile and accessible, a good Deluxe Reverb is the best amp for more guitarists and most applications.
