This example, serial number 73821, is in near pristine cosmetic condition, and features: the incredibly attractive and desirable two-tone “Smoke Green” finish, a single HiLo’Tron pickup, NeoClassic (thumbnail) inlays, (6) individual Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines, original back-painted lucite pickguard and pickup ring, chrome-plated G-arrow knob, six-saddle Space Control bridge on an ebony base, a trapeze style “G” tailpiece, and the original hard shell case.
This Anniversary weighs only 5 lbs. 15 oz., has a wide nut width of 1 11/16″ and a scale length of 24 1/2 inches. It is 16″ at the widest point of the lower bout, with a 2 3/4″ body depth, and a double-bound laminated maple body construction with two unbound f-holes. It features a 3-piece maple neck, and an unbound ebony fretboard.
As previously mentioned, this guitar is perfectly intact, with not the slightest indication of binding rot, binding separation, nor neck joint fatigue, etc. The finish is slightly faded, as can be seen in several photos below, however, the guitar does not display expected playing wear. It is extremely well preserved, and it is an increbily fine example.
