This is a vintage 1964 Gibson J-45 acoustic flat top guitar with the original soft case and guitar strap. This particular example, serial number 187112, is in very excellent (9+) all original condition! This guitar is perfectly intact with NO breaks, NO cracks, and NO repairs whatsoever.
The Gibson J-45 features a very attractive cherry sunburst finish which is extremely well preserved and unfaded. This particular example is very stunning, and the only evident wear is that around the soundhole. Otherwise the guitar is seemingly near mint. The original cherry finish on the mahogany back and sides is rich and pristine.
It has mahogany back and sides with a spruce top and adjustable ceramic bridge. The J-45 also features; a very comfortable slim taper neck profile with factory large frets and 3 in a row single line Kluson Deluxe tuners with the original buttons.
As mentioned, cosmetically, this guitar looks near mint. As stated, the sunburst finish has not faded at all, with no belt buckle wear, no arm wear, a little pick wear, almost no fret wear, and only has some very minor dings. The top of the guitar is structurally sound with no belly and no evidence of the bridge pulling up. The neck is straight with a great angle and incredibly low great action.
Although this guitar looks quite clean, don’t be fooled, as it sounds like a vintage Gibson should sound: AMAZING. No new guitar, reissue, or luthier-built guitar can ever reproduce what Gibson perfected. With sparkling highs and rich lows, it’s loud, clear, and balanced. The mids are not too muddy, and are pleasnatly focused. The original faultless plushline soft shell case is in very excellent condition. The interior is still fresh and bright. Also included is the original guitar strap which is also in very excellent condition.
