Tube Chart Date: NG (July 1964)
Transformer Codes: 606406, -606-4-20,
The 6G2 Princeton utilizes: (1) 5Y3, (2) 6V6, (1) 7025, and (1) 12AX7 original Sylvania tubes through an original 1 x 10â³ CTS speaker.
This short-lived model was preceded by the Brown-panel Princeton, and soon after it’s introduction was discontinued for the AA964 Princeton without white knobs and with a raised logo on the grill cloth. Due to this limited production period, this amp is somewhat rare, but since they never came with the Reverb option, they aren’t exceedingly valuable, and are one of the best deals for a vintage Fender amp.
Unlike the later Princetons, and even those that came prior, this White Knob Princeton produces a much cleaner signal with more refined headroom. Glassy, clear, and precise, this Princeton is perfectly for achieving famous Fender clean, as well as, providing a great blank canvas for all types of pedals.
The amp is in nice all original condition, though it definitely displays obvious wear, expected fading, and miscellaneous scuffs. Please review the highly detailed high resolution photos for a better idea.
