The textured brown vinyl tolex exterior is in extremely excellent condition with no evidence of fraying, rips, cigarette burns, or even knot sap marks. The wheat grill cloth is not faded, and still looks unbelievably crisp and attractive. There are no snags, rips, or tears in the grill and the appearance and structural integrity is very fine. The control panel is also crisp and clean with maybe a couple very minor blemishes. All of the hardware is in very excellent condition, the chassis is quite clean, with no evidence of damage, let alone signs of oxidation, or indications of leaky/exploded capacitors.
The Fender Reverb Unit was introduced in 1961 and was offered in blonde tolex, where in 1962-63 it was only offered in brown. The Fender Reverb utilizes; (1) 6K6 (1) 12AT7 and (1) 7025 tubes through the Fender Reverb Tank. Since this particular example has been very well-preserved, it sounds as good as it looks. The 6K6 and 12AT7 are original, however the 7025 has been replaced. Other than the one replaced tube, the usual replaced electrolytic’s, and three (3) board caps, this thing is all original and near mint.
