This is a very excellent example of an 100% all original 1961 Gibson SG Les Paul Custom and the original hard case. With a low 4-digit serial number, and pot codes designating a 1960 date, this is a fairly early variety preserved in highly crisp condition. This early variety 1st-year no-issues Gibson SG Les Paul Custom features; a beautifully preserved Polaris White finish, (3) PAF humbucking pickups, early Pat. Pend. Grover tuning machines, corresponding original gold hardware, and the aforementioned black pebble grain hard case with yellow interior. A simply stunning specimen, this guitar cost $445 in 1961, and was considerably more than its SG Standard counterpart.
