Here is a vintage 1961 Fender Reverb Unit in absolutely impeccable 100% all original condition! This particular example, serial number R00483, is in perfectly pristine, mint cosmetic condition! This tube spring reverb-equipped tank is perfect for both the players lacking a good reverb on their amp, and the Fender amp collectors desiring the cleanest possible example available! Some throw the term “mint condition” around rather carelessly when describing nice, clean items, but after inspecting the photos to the right, you too will be searching for a new term that appropriately describes the cleanest of the clean.

The brown vinyl tolex exterior is in extremely excellent condition. The wheat grill cloth is not faded, not fatigued, nor compromised from it’s original perfect condition, and still looks very crisp and as attractive as the day it was completed. There are no snags, rips, or tears in the grill and the appearance and structural integrity is incredibly fine. The control panel is also crisp and remarkably sheen with some few small blemishes. All of the hardware is in very excellent condition, the chassis is quite clean, with no evidence of damage, let alone signs of oxidation, or indications of leaky/exploded capacitors.
The Fender Reverb Unit was introduced in 1961 and was offered in blonde tolex, and offered in brown in late ’61-63. The Fender Reverb utilizes; (1) 6K6 (1) 12AT7 and (1) 12AX7 tubes through the Hammond spring reverb.
As discussed, this particular example is in 100% original condition. It retains the original transformers, electrolytics and all board caps, as well as the tubes. The 2-prong brown power cable is original and structurally very well-preserved.
The Reverb works perfectly and sounds fantastic. Fender Reverb Units are sinificantly more dynamic and versatile than the scaled-down effect found within a Fender amp produced later. It is luxuriously lush, with a sound that accommodates that famous surf swell to light textural flavor.
