This is a vintage 1960s Yamaha FG-260 12-string acoustic guitar. This particular example, serial number 30804, is in very excellent, super clean, all original condition. This early Made in Japan (MIJ) example is particularly well-preserved and is a highly functional well-made 12-string guitar for those who don’t want to make a substantial investment.
– Original natural finish
– Spruce top
– Mahogany back and sides
– Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard
– Rosewood bridge
– Martin style headstock
This no issues Nippon Gakki Co. guitar is in perfect structural shape with no problems whatsoever: no breaks, no cracks, no repairs and no modifications. Though 12-string acoustic necks are notorious for neck-warping issues, the neck is perfectly straight with string tension and the truss rod works great.
The action low, and the neck profile is quite comfortable. This guitar is a pleasure to play, and like most other models from this era, sound surprisingly good.
