This is a vintage 1959 Kay Jazz II K-775 hollowbody electric guitar. This example is in good all original condition aside from pretty severe binding rot. The binding in most areas has either disintegrated, crumbled, cracked, or gassed into the original nitrocellulose clear coat, and it’s not a pretty sight. The instrument otherwise, however, is in very good structural shape with no other significant issues. The guitar does display playing wear, and finish wear, in addition to expected weather checking. The neck feels great, and there’s tons of life left on the rather large factory frets. Perhaps worth the restoration, or just a great player’s example as-is. The Kay Jazz II is one of Kay’s coolest Kelvinator models, and this one has tons of vintage vibe!
