This is a vintage 100% ALL ORIGINAL 1959 Gibson ES-175D hollow body electric guitar. This particular example, serial number A30388 & FON number S87961, is without a doubt the cleanest example to be made available in quite some time. In fact, there are virtually no dings, no dents, no scratches… no nothing. It is important to emphasize just how spectacular the condition is, and that this guitar is basically in the same condition today as it was the day it left the Gibson factory in the glorious year of 1959.
This ’59 ES-175 features:
-(2) PAF Humbucking pickups,
-Carved maple top and back, maple sides
-Triple bound top, single bound back
-Single bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard
-Double-parallelagram fingerboard inlays
-Crown peghead inlay
-Original Lifton Case
If you are a connoisseur of condition, then you will certainly appreciate this guitar! This no issues example is void of damage with no cracks, no breaks, no repairs, no modification, etc. Sure the nickel-plated hardware has oxidized slightly and there are some traces of weather-checking, but otherwise the guitar is like new. The original 3-tone tobacco-burst finish has not faded in the slightest. There is absolutely zero fret wear and there is no pick wear, in fact, I couldn’t even see a smudge! Everything is crisp, clean, pristine, mirror-like, luminous and impressive. Vintage guitars just aren’t preserved this way anymore. Even the case is spectacular!
The guitar works perfectly and of course it sounds great. It basically has N.O.S. PAF pickups that have probably been used less then 10 hours in the last 50 years! The neck is straight, the profile is exquisite and it is a complete joy to play.
