This is a vintage 1959 Fender Jazzmaster electric guitar. This particular example, serial number 31992, is in very nice all original condition and features an extremely rare Blue Sparkle finish! Given the amount of wear and patina, this example would be perfect for both a collector and a player. This “Gold Guard” Jazzmaster is also probably the best looking variant, and this first generation model sporting this beautiful anodized pickguard was only produced for approximately 1 year, making it the most collectible. Early Sparkle finish Fender ares very rare, and usually indicate a very interesting pedigree. While the specifics regarding this custom-ordered unique finish are not known, this rare Jazzmaster is without question an all original, 100% intact, example of one of the rarest custom-colored instruments Fender ever produced.
