This is a vintage 1958 Fender Super -Amp “5F4″ electric guitar amplifier. This particular example, serial number S02431, is in extremely excellent all original condition and includes the original Victoria canvas cover. Considered to be the best by those fortunate enough to have owned most, if not all, of the Fender Tweed amp models, the narrow panel 5F4 Super is a high output amp in a perfectly compact combo package. The dual 10″ AlNiCo Jensen speakers perfectly complement the power section consisting of a duet of 6L6GB power tubes. Producing the premier Tweed tone possible, the Tweed Super sings with highly musical compression and gorgeous gain. Forget about the Tweed Deluxe and the beloved Bassman, this ’58 Fender Super is in a league of it’s own.

The cosmetic condition of this particular example is quite impressive. The tweed covering is very crisp, unfaded, and incredibly well preserved. The original grille cloth is in near perfect structural condition with no visible snags, tears or stains. It is entirely complete, with the overall condition registering a solid 8.75/10.
With near perfect projection and presence, combined with a sweet and singing saturation, the 5F4 Super represents the quintessence of Fender Tweed tone. The original speaker cones function perfectly without voicecoil distortion and speaker fatigue. The amp has been serviced accordingly by the long-time previous owner, which resulted in several coupling capacitors being replaced, as well as, the inevitable electrolytic swap. It works perfectly and sounds unbelievable.
