Aside from replaced pots, this ’56 Fender Esquire is all original, this includes; the original Blonde nitrocellulose body finish, the original lacquer clear coat on the neck, original frets, original single-line Kluson Deluxe tuning machines, original nut, original 5-screw single-ply pickguard, original bridge with steel saddles, original single-coil bridge pickup, original control plate with a pair of original matching control knobs, the original tweed case and several original strings.
With a fantastic neck profile and a highly resonant 1-piece Ash body, this is an all-around incredible instrument. Fit for a serious player or a collector who uses their investments, this is one of those golden-era Teles (Esquire) you simply can’t put down. The overly microphonic pickup sounds absolutely alive with a robust personality, however, it elicits significantly more feedback than your average pickup. Some would suggest dipping or potting the pickup, however, I feel it has a special sound all it’s own.
