This is a vintage 1936 Gibson L-00 flat top acoustic guitar. This particular example, FON 132B, is in excellent all original condition and includes a non-original hard shell case.
This era Gibson L-00 features: a bound spruce top with the original “medium sized” sunburst finish, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, pre-WWII Gibson script headstock logo, rosewood bridge, 3-on-a-plate open back strip brass tuners, fire stripe pickguard, and a non-original hard shell case.
The guitar does not have any cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. All of the bracing is securely fixed within, and the top is perfectly flat with no evidence of bellying whatsoever. The bridge is also perfectly intact and secured. Structurally, the guitar is perfectly solid, and this translates through sonically, highly complimenting the inherently great sound.
The neck is in very nice condition. The original frets display expected, although minimal, playing wear. The neck profile style is a large, yet comfortable “V” shape, which is perfect for nearly all types of acoustic playing for hands both small and large. The neck is perfectly straight with an incredibly perfect neck angle.
Included is a non-original hard shell case, as well as new plastic bridge pins. The original bridge pins are still intact and work, though new pins might be necessary in the near future.
