This is a vintage (circa 1930) Gibson L-3 acoustic archtop guitar. This example has no visible FON, and the original white label has been damaged (perhaps intentionally) to the point where both the serial and model number aren’t intelligible. Aside from an adequate replacement pickguard, changed bridge, and an era appropriate non-original tailpiece (as both most likely deteriorated), this L-3 is in great structural shape. There are absolutely no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs to mention. The original finish is well preserved. The non-adjustable truss rod neck is perfectly straight, and the neck angle is surprisingly good. The action is low, and the guitar plays quite nicely. The original case is in excellent shape as well.
